Description: Willow Oak is a medium to large tree (reaching as much as 100’ in ideal conditions) in the red oak group, but with uncharacteristic long, narrow, unlobed, willow-like leaves. It is a relatively fast grower and prefers moist soils. Fruits are rounded acorn up to 1/2” in length, which are a food source for wildlife. Fall color is dull gold or yellowish brown. Willow oaks tend to have good disease and pest resistance and are considered low-maintenance.
