Description: Yoshino Cherry is a beautiful, medium-sized ornamental flowering cherry tree with fragrant white to very pale pink flowers, followed by small black cherries which are inedible for humans but enjoyed by birds. Foliage turns yellow with bronze tints in fall. Tolerates heat and humidity, but not drought. Nice as a specimen plant or in groups, as in Washington D.C., where it is one of the predominant cherry trees planted.
