1837–1930

Gideon Ludlow lived in Westfield almost his entire life and was a local contractor as well as the town tax assessor. He had the distinction of casting his first presidential ballot for Abraham Lincoln. Gideon had one son, John Long Ludlow. His grandfather Jacob served in the Revolutionary War. Gideon was one of the original founding fathers of Fairview Cemetery and was the President of the Board of Trustees to Fairview at the time of his death.
