Description: Crimean Linden is a hybrid of unknown parentage, but generally considered to be a cross between Littleleaf Linden (Tilia cordata) and Caucasian Lime (Tilia dasystyla), which is different from the citrus tree known as “lime.” Crimean Linden is a medium-sized deciduous tree with fragrant, pale yellow flowers in late spring, which are very attractive to bees, are followed by small, round “nutlets,” which ripen by late summer. Fall color is unremarkable pale green to pale yellow.
