Description: The Hardy Rubber Tree is a medium-sized tree with appealing, glossy green foliage and excellent insect and disease resistance. Although the leaves remain attractive throughout the growing season, it displays no significant fall color. As the name suggests, rubber can in fact be made from the tree sap. In fact, it is the only latex-bearing tree native to temperate climates, however the extraction process is complicated and costly, so it was never developed commercially.
